Marriage has already been radically redefined, for the better.
For many centuries, \"traditional\" marriage was a way to pass a woman from the control of one man (her father) to the control of another man (her husband), so she would produce legitimate (male) heirs for him. The ideas of people committing to each other as equals, as loving partners, are relatively new. We shouldn't go back to the dark ages.
